In reply to Ronda. I would stick with the all-purpose. Self-rising has additional leavening agents that may make your crust too puffy.

I am about to make mozz. Cheese for the first time and can’t wait to use the pizza recipe too. I was wondering if I could use self rising flour in the pizza dough I have all purpose but have a bunch of self rising to use. Thanks

In reply to Snowflake. So glad you enjoy the site! Pizza is one of those foods that I hardly follow recipes for except for the crust. There's just so many interesting things you can use for toppings in endless combinations!

I absolutely LOVED this recipe, I did make some variations though. I opted out the onions, parsley and garlic and instead of grating the cheese I just got blocks of asiago, mozzerella and shredded parmesan.I sliced the cheese and just placed them on top. As for the alfredo sauce, I used a four cheese alfredo sauce, so it was really cheesy, but so good. I also topped it with a savory herb sauce. Thank you so much for posting this recipe. I absolutely love this website and all the recipes you post up.
